Various educational programs run every Saturday at the Church.

In addition to the Tigirigna language lessons offered at the church, tutoring and homework help are offered on Saturdays between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm. Spirit- and life enhancing activities, periodic workshops, fundraising events and off-site trips are integral parts of the Saturday children’s programs at Holy Trinity.

Tigrigna Language Program

Every Saturday, over 20 children attend events organized by the Education Committee of the Church members and volunteers at the Church. Different events are hosted, including Bible study and mezmur sessions, Tigrigna language lessons, and various other on- and off-site programs. The Church aims to be a place for children, not only of spiritual stimulation, but also of mental, personal and physical growth.

The courses are offered from January to December (year round), every Saturday morning from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, at Holy Trinity.  The majority of the students who attend the language class also attend events at or make use of the Church's facilities.

Tutorial and Mentorship Programs

Youth mentorship and tutoring are are also among the most important part of the programs offered at the Church. At certain time period during the day, some time is allocated to one-on-one or group tutoring sessions. Highly motivated youth volunteers or committee members provide
mentorship and tutor kids in a highly engaging and stimulating setting. Youth-to-youth assistance sessions are also conducted by encouraging older children attendees to directly or indirectly engage younger children with academic and educational recreation activities. Older children are also encouraged to remain around the Church by being invited as volunteers. In addition to the existing prayer, study and play areas in the Church, a newly completed computer room has also been an integral part of children's learning experience at the Church. Currently, the computer room has fully equipped desktop computers that are used by students for academic work. There are plans to hold computer lessons to both children and adults in the future.

Workshops

Another integral part of the children's experience at the Church is a weekly set of activities organized by a group of enthusiastic, dedicated youth from the Eritean Orthodox Tewahedo Churches across the United States and Canada. Bible-themed and always engaging, these activities are among those that the children are always excitingly looking forward to. The activities are held both in-Church and off-site, when the education committee coordinates with the Eritean group out of Church trips.
